ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
Please note that the education and experience qualifications below may be deemed essential.

✈EDUCATION
Successful completion of post-secondary education in a field related to the work

Possesses a Restricted Radio Operator Certificate

Degree equivalency

✈EXPERIENCE
Experience piloting or controlling aircraft in a Visual Flight Rules environment, AND experience operating a flight simulator
Experience within an aerospace control environment
Experience working in a military environment
Experience in computer data input and troubleshooting of computer equipment including peripherals.
Experience utilizing aerospace control procedures, such as (phraseology, policies or publications)

Willing and able to work occasional overtime on short notice
Willing and able to wear a headset for communication
Willing and able to regularly operate a flight simulator for extended periods
Willing and able to complete employer directed training

On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.

As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring. Preference
