The Real Property and Asset Management (RPAM) team manages a very large and diversified portfolio across Canada and is the Employment and Social Development Canada specialist (ESDC) in the real property field. Our team works in a fast-paced environment and provides millions in real property services to the regions each year. Our services support important programs and services that are essential to Canadians, such as Employment Insurance, Canada Pension Plan, Canada Pension Plan Disability, Old Age Security, and Passport services. We are actively looking for passionate and motivated individuals who have experience in office and service delivery space design and who are keen to work in a professional and dynamic organization.
As a member of RPAM, you will be involved in aspects of project development and execution. You will be called upon to collaborate within the teams in the planning, design, construction, commissioning and evaluation of designated projects in our spaces.
The Project Officer, Real Property and Asset Management (RPAM) plans, designs, and implements accommodation projects and provides expert advice on the administration of corporate real property for the department. The Project officer also consults and provides functional guidance to all levels of ESDC management and staff regarding all aspects of accommodation and facilities management issues.
The Technical Advisor supports the development and implementation of service transformation and delivery through the development, implementation and monitoring of business processes, practices, analyses and tools that translate program and service delivery frameworks into deliverables for a business stream.
This is a continuous intake inventory to create and maintain an inventory for future opportunities. This process may be used for various positions and tenures (including but not limited to term and indeterminate appointments, internal assignments, secondments, deployments, acting appointments) as well as various locations, language requirements and conditions of employment.

Due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation, the selected candidate will work remotely from his/her residence location until further notice. When the decision is made for Employment and Social Development Canada employees to return to the workplace, the successful candidates may be expected to work at the hub sites within Quebec, Atlantic, Ontario, NCR and Western Canada and Territories Region. Successful completion of a degree/diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution.
OR
The employer-approved alternatives to a postsecondary school degree/diploma are:
-A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
- An acceptable combination of education, training and/or a minimum of twelve (12) months of experience in real property. (Suitable for a position as determined by the manager unless otherwise regulated by the employer) *Acceptable combination is defined, as “Work experience is important and valuable! - Successful completion of a diploma/ degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with a specialization related to real property management such as civil engineering technology, architecture, interior design or public administration.
- Project Management Certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or other related certification.
EXPERIENCE
STREAM 1: Real Property Officer
- Experience in using Auto Cad.
- Experience in Real Property projects management (ex.: applying management and planning techniques and methods)
- Experience using Project Management software such as Microsoft Project.
- Experience working or consulting with government.
