The immediate need is to staff three positions (Regina, SK; Milton, ON; Ottawa ON; and Montréal, QC) on an indeterminate basis, with various linguistic profiles and a RCMP top secret security clearance.

A pool of candidates will be established and will be used to staff other ICMP practitioner positions within the RCMP (i.e. E Division (Vancouver,BC); K Division (Edmonton,AB); F Division (Regina,SK); D Division (Winnipeg,MB); O Division (Milton,ON); NHQ/Nat Divisions (Ottawa,ON); C Division (Montréal,QC), J Division (Fredericton,NB); H Division (Halifax,NS); B Division (St-John's,NL)) on an indeterminate or specified period (including term, acting, or assignment) basis, with various linguistic profiles and various RCMP security clearance.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in human resources management, labour or industrial relations, psychology, public or business administration, organizational development, education sciences, social sciences, sociology, or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Note: The course for the specialization must be acceptable and must have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization.
AND
• One hundred and sixty (160) hours of training in conflict management, applicable to a workplace setting, which must include forty (40) hours of mediation skills training.
AND
• Forty (40) hours of group intervention training applicable to a workplace setting.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
EX 1. Recent and significant* experience in providing workplace informal conflict management services (such as conflict analysis, conflict coaching, facilitated discussions, mediation, and group interventions).

EX 2. Experience in delivering training relevant to conflict management.

EX 3. Recent and significant experience* in providing advice to management on matters related to effective workplace conflict prevention or management.

*Note: Recent and significant experience is understood to mean the depth and breadth of the experience normally acquired through the performance of duties on a regular and continuous basis for approximately two (2) years in the last four (4) years.

Top Secret security clearance - All applicants for positions within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police will be subject to a thorough security clearance process which includes an interview wherein questions may include (but not limited to), reference checks, previous employment, on-line activities, credit checks, alcohol and/or drug use.
