This is an anticipatory process.
A qualified pool of candidates will be established and used to staff future indeterminate and/or temporary CR-04 Information Processor positions within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Airdrie, Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta. In the event of a temporary vacancy, the following staffing actions may be used and/or considered: acting appointment, term appointment, assignment or secondment.
This pool may also be used to identify candidates interested in a casual contract.
Applicants are encouraged to apply ONLY if they are willing and able to work in or relocate to Airdrie, Calgary and/or Edmonton, Alberta, or within a 40 kilometer radius of Airdrie, Calgary and/or Edmonton, Alberta.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

EDUCATION
• Successful completion of two years of secondary school, or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience*.

EXPERIENCE
• Recent* experience working with software applications such as Microsoft Suite (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Recent* experience in assuring data quality and integrity.
• Recent* experience entering data into a computerized system.
*Recent experience signifies within the last two years.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE
• Experience maintaining a law enforcement database.
• Experience in providing records management services such as indexing, cross-referencing, filing, retrieving, retaining, archiving or destroying data.
• Experience transcribing statements from digital media.
• Experience in providing service to internal and/or external clients.
• Experience in multi-media conversion.

As per the new Policy on COVID-19 Vaccination for the Core Public Administration Including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, federal public servants in the Core Public Administration and members of the RCMP must attest to their vaccination status. The requirement for employees to be fully vaccinated applies whether they are teleworking, working remotely or working on-site. This is a condition of employment and it applies to indeterminate (permanent), determinate (term), casual, and student hiring. Candidates may be assessed using one or more of the following tools: standardized tests, written exam, interview, simulation exercise and reference checks.
Volume Management strategies may be used.
