LOCATION:
We have the following offices across Canada: Vancouver (BC), Edmonton (AB), Winnipeg (MB), Toronto (ON), Ottawa (ON), Montréal (QC), Sherbrooke (QC) and Halifax (NS).
As well, we have more than 30 Research Data Centres (RDCs) across the country. Research Data Centres (RDCs) promote and facilitate research that uses Statistics Canada microdata within secure facilities managed by Statistics Canada.

Positions may be staffed in the above-mentioned locations. However, as a result of the global pandemic, our teams are currently working virtually from home, with the exception of the RDC positions. Remote work may continue to be an option post pandemic. As our telework arrangements are evolving, we encourage you to apply.

EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in Economics, Sociology, or Statistics.
Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE- BOTH STREAMS:
EXP1: Experience in managing projects (e.g. research projects, transformative project, and/or managing surveys)
EXP2: Experience in researching, analyzing and/or integrating data
EC-06 ONLY
EXP3: *Significant experience managing **complex projects
*Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally acquired over a period of 2 years.
** Complex is defined as having two (2) of the following characteristics: multidimensional, multi-year, multidisciplinary, sensitive or confidential, holding significant risk, affecting many partners or stakeholders, precedent-setting or having a major impact on program delivery.
EDUCATION
AEDU1- A degree from a recognized postsecondary educational institution, with a specialization in one of the following: accounting, finance, business administration, health, epidemiology, health sciences, data science, public health, population health, communications, web design, or journalism
AEDU2- Masters Degree and/or Ph.D with *significant emphasis on statistical analysis of large microdata sets
*Significant is defined as having acquired at least one course in statistical analysis at the graduate level, or the completion of an evidence-based thesis using statistical analysis as the main line of inquiry.
AEDU3- Project Management Certification or pending qualification
AEDU4- Chartered Professional Accountant designation or pending qualification
You will be asked to answer a series of pre-screening questions relating to the areas that are of interest to you such as:
• Data production and analysis
• The use of analytical and statistical tools.
This does not mean that you must possess all the asset qualifications; however, they may be a deciding factor when selecting candidates for the positions available. Depending on the position being staffed, certain operational requirements and/or conditions of employment could apply.
