SIGMA is Public Services and Procurement Canada’s (PSPC) in-service support team for one of the Government of Canada’s (GC) most comprehensive financial, procurement and real property SAP system. Our diversified team of professionals helps PSPC and its hosted client Shared Services Canada (SSC) focus on their operational objectives by: providing service desk support and training to more than 6,000 users; identifying, designing, developing and delivering SAP solutions for our clients; providing creative and helpful business reporting solutions; and, ensuring compliance and controls for this important system.

Successful candidates will also have the opportunity to gain exposure to S/4HANA, the next generation of SAP, as PSPC embarks on the Destination S/4HANA project with the goal of aligning its financial, procurement and real property system and processes with the GC-wide modernization effort.

Intent of the process

A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates will be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions with various language requirements, tenures and security requirements within Public Services and Procurement Canada.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
• Significant* experience using at least one (1) of the following systems:
- Financial and material management system (FMS) (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or other relevant systems); or
- Business Intelligence or Business Warehouse.

• Experience compiling, synthesizing and analyzing information, data or statistics from various data sources in order to identify trends.

• Significant* experience in providing advice and making recommendations to management on questions related to Financial and material management systems (FMS).

*”Significant experience” is defined as the breadth and depth of experience associated with completing the duties of the position for a period of at least two (2) years.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in a field relevant to the duties of the position.
