JOB LOCATION
Teleworking; open to students across Canada. This staffing process will be used to staff student positions in multiple OSFI offices. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, public health recommendations and restrictions are in place across Canada and may change as circumstances evolve. You will be required to work remotely (e.g. from home) for the duration of your work term. Further information will be provided if you are selected for the position.

The Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) is an independent agency of the Government of Canada, established in 1987 to contribute to the safety and soundness of the Canadian financial system. OSFI supervises and regulates federally registered banks and insurers, trust and loan companies, as well as private pension plans subject to federal oversight.

YOU ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY IF YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
• You must be a full-time* student at a recognized** Canadian postsecondary institution co-op/internship program. If you are a Student with a work/study permit, you may apply. However, preference will be given to Canadian citizens who meet the job requirements.
• Your work term must be mandatory for graduation.
• You must meet the minimum age required in the province/territory of work.
*If you are enrolled in part-time studies at an educational institution due to disability, or for the last semester as recognized by your academic institution, you are also eligible.
** To be employed as an OSFI student, your program and institution must be identified on the List of Validated Post-Secondary Academic Institutions and Programs website.
HOW TO APPLY

Reliability Status security clearance - The successful student will be required to obtain a Government of Canada security clearance prior to obtaining a formal offer of employment. It is the successful student’s responsibility to complete the fingerprinting process, as it is a requirement to obtain security clearance.
⠀⠀- Students who have resided outside of Canada within the past 5 years will require an international criminal record check and will therefore experience a longer than normal clearance process.
• In our current telework environment, the ability to work remotely from home within Canada with access to Internet in one’s residence is a condition of employment.
