What we are looking for:
Public Safety Canada is looking for talented, motivated and strategic minded individuals to work in a variety of corporate services, security, accommodations, corporate governance, and business continuity management positions. As part of the Public Safety Corporate Services Directorate (CSD), you would have opportunities to gain experience in the design and implementation of a variety of corporate programs, contribute to complex departmental initiatives, and support the department through a range of transformative initiatives, business functions and operations.
The Corporate Services Directorate program structure is comprised of multidisciplinary teams that thrive in the high-performing and dynamic work environments necessary to actively manage multiple ongoing priorities and a broad strategic and operational mandate. → ■ EDUCATION:
Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
→ ■ EXPERIENCE:
E1 : Significant* experience leading the development of departmental strategies, policy instruments or implementation plans.
E2 : Significant* experience producing written briefing products on complex** issues.
E3 : Experience in making presentations to management to provide advice and recommendations to support senior management*** decision-making.
E4 : Experience identifying and promoting opportunities to align programs, strategies and services with internal or external stakeholders.
* Significant experience refers to the depth and breadth of the experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of various related activities which are normally acquired over a period of at least two (2) years of cumulative experience.
** Complex is defined as including at least two (2) of the following characteristics: multidimensional, sensitive, under tight deadlines, confidential, affecting many partners or stakeholders, precedent setting or having a major impact on the public service, or having a potential for significant media coverage.
*** Senior management is defines as Director and/or equivalent and above.

AE1 : Experience in a Corporate Security Program in at least three (3) of the following areas:
Security risk management;
Corporate / Security planning;
Security Screening;
Physical security;
Business continuity management;
Information management security;
Security event management;
Security awareness and training.
AE2 : Experience in developing and implementing strategic long-term asset management frameworks.
AE3 : Experience in multi-year financial planning to support long-term strategic plans.
AE4 : Significant* experience with the relevant principles and practices in Real Property and facilities management.

On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced details of its plans to require vaccination across the federal public service.
