WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: OVERSEEING CERTIFICATION PROGRAMS BY:
► Leading a team of Senior Engineers in the domain of Fuel and Hydro Mechanical Systems
► Attending briefings on new aeronautical products
► Supporting identification of the design standards applicable to new and changed aeronautical products, and approval of the applicant means of compliance to these standards
► Working with industry engineers, and Transport Canada Delegates, throughout the phases of certification
► Preparing for and attending certification and technical reviews, witnessing certification tests, in Canada and abroad
► Coordinating with all areas of expertise involved in the certification of aeronautical products
► Interacting with foreign certification authorities
► Validating foreign aeronautical products

EDUCATION
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in an engineering specialty relevant to the duties of the position.
OR
OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION:
Eligibility for certification as a professional engineer in Canada with specialization in an engineering specialty relevant to the position.
Note 1: Candidates will be asked to provide proof of education or eligibility for certification.
Note 2: Candidates with foreign credentials must provide proof of Canadian equivalency. Consult the Canadian Information Centre for International Credentials for further information at: http://www.cicic.ca/indexe.stm.
EXPERIENCE
■ EX1 : Significant* experience in design, development, testing or certification of aircraft fuel and hydro mechanical control systems.
■ EX2 : Significant* experience in the application of Canadian and foreign civil design standards for fuel and hydro mechanical control systems.
■ EX3 : Experience in leading a team within a technical environment.
*Significant: Candidate has performed complex activities related to this task in a wide variety of situations (at least 10 years of experience).
ASSET QUALIFICATION
■ AEX1: Technical management: Experience managing a team of aerospace engineers

• flight control systems
• hydraulics systems
• landing gear systems
• digital controls
• system safety assessment
