Interested persons must meet each essential qualification to be appointed to the position. However, a person may be appointed to the position even though he/she does not meet any or all of the asset qualifications, operational requirements or organizational needs.

As an Economic Development Officer, you will:
- Accomplish work that allows you to use your organizational and leadership skills.

One indeterminate position within the next few months is anticipated to be staffed.
A pool of qualified candidates will also be established through this process to staff anticipated vacancies, for identical or similar positions, at Atlantic Canada Opportunity Agency (ACOA) through acting, indeterminate or term appointments in the Newfoundland and Labrador region.

EDUCATION
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in a field relevant to the duties of the position.

EXPERIENCE:
- Analysis, evaluation and recommendation of non-commercial and/or commercial projects for financial support, emphasizing industry development and support where sustainability is important.
- Developing and sustaining collaborative working relationships with stakeholders to advance initiatives or projects.
- Negotiating project agreements/contracts and monitoring progress against agreements throughout the lifecycle of a project.
