Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to staff one (1) permanent position in Edmonton, AB.

A qualified pool of candidates will be created and may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures (i.e. permanent or temporary) within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Secondary school diploma or approved alternative such as an acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience in maintaining a budget tracking system within a work setting.
Experience in using Word and Excel
Experience in providing advice and/or guidance to managers.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Experience in life cycle and financial management of fleet assets.
Experience in providing service to internal and/or external clients.
Experience entering data into a computerized system.

Willingness and ability to work overtime.
Willingness and ability to travel for work and/or training purposes using various modes of transportation (including owned or leased government transport, commercial and light aircraft to various locations including remote locations).
Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license or the mobility normally associated with holding a driver’s license.

Reliability Status security clearance - Those selected must meet and maintain the above condition of employment throughout their employment.
» » The successful applicant will have to obtain, as a minimum, an RCMP Reliability Status. The process requires a Security/Reliability Interview, a field investigation in matters of credit/finances, education, employment, references, etc.

Preference will be given to veterans first and then to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
