ANTICIPATORY STAFFING. A pool of qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions, with various tenures depending on organizational needs (Indeterminate, Acting and Specified Period), within Indigenous Services Canada in Vancouver, British Columbia.

EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, with acceptable specialization in physics, geology, chemistry or some other science relevant to the position.
NOTE: The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and must have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization.
EXPERIENCE:
PC-02 and PC-03
Experience in the delivery of programs related to environmental legislation and policies.
PC02:
Minimum 2 years of experience working in the field of environmental management or environmental impact assessment.
PC03 :
Minimum of 4 years of experience working in the field of environmental management or environmental impact assessment.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
PC-02 and PC-03 :
Examples must demonstrate the depth and breadth of the experience for these activities including the number of years and when the experience was obtained as well as the complexity, value, and/or legislative frameworks involved in the projects. Extensive experience is required for the Senior Environmental Specialist PC-03 which is normally acquired over a minimum 4 year period or greater.
Experience in preparing environmental impact assessments
Experience managing and conducting environmental site assessments or contaminated site remediation projects
Experience in solid waste management
Experience working with First Nations or Indigenous organizations.
