Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, with acceptable specialization in forestry, ecology, biology or some other science relevant to the position.
Note:
1. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and must have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization.

Degree equivalency

Experience contributing to policies, guidelines or other tools that establish how organizations create, capture, store and share information or data

Experience in analyzing data and interpreting results

Experience in briefing and providing advice to management

Experience in communicating scientific or technical information to non-scientists

Graduation with a Masters degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a Science related to the position.

Degree equivalency

Recent experience planning and conducting field or laboratory-based forest research activities, or other forest science projects

Recent and significant experience in analyzing data and interpreting results

Recent experience in preparing reports and presentations

Knowledge of Criteria and Indicators (C&I) of Sustainable Forest Management, including the Canadian Council of Forest Ministers C&I framework and the Montreal Process C&I framework,

Recent is defined as within the past 5 years.
Significant experience is defined as experience associated with having preformed a broad range of related activities, which could normally be acquired over a period of approximately three (3) years.
