The successful candidate will work with Research Scientists and senior technical staff to develop and enhance processes and equipment in support of the Clean Energy Sector. This position will support agricultural initiatives at various levels from research plot science to whole farm initiatives with the intent of improving agricultural productivity and environmental performance.
Immediate need: 1 full-time permanent position.
A pool of qualified and partially qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures as well as various linguistic requirements.

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in one of the following engineering sub-disciplines: agricultural, civil, environmental, engineering physics, industrial, mechanical or any other engineering field relevant to the position being staffed.
Eligible for certification or licensing as a professional engineer in Canada.

- Experience in the investigation, evaluation, fabrication and design of agricultural projects, processes or equipment.
- Experience in the modification and reengineering of agriculture or scientific equipment.
- Experiencing working within a multi-disciplinary research organization.
- Experience in the use of CAD/CAM software.
- Experience in managing projects using commonly accepted project management methodologies.
Graduation with an acceptable post-graduate degree in an engineering field related to precision agriculture, clean technologies, agricultural equipment, process design, or a relevant field of study.
- Experience in safety certification of equipment
- Experience in the design/build of equipment related to precision agriculture or clean technologies associated with agriculture.
