In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

When you apply you will be asked a series of screening questions based on the education and experience criteria below. When answering the screening questions, please provide:

EDUCATION:
- Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, water resource engineering, environmental engineering, electrical engineering, hydrogeological engineering, or some other engineering specialty relevant to the duties of the position.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in providing technical and strategic advice to senior management.
- Experience in the technical evaluation or preparation of architectural or engineering reports.
- Experience in tracking project schedules, costs and budgets.
- Experience working in the **North and/or in remote First Nation communities.
- Significant* experience in managing the delivery of infrastructure projects with varying degrees of complexity and magnitude, such as water/wastewater treatment, highways/roads, bridges, buildings, utilities.

*Significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience with full time performance of these duties for approximately two (2) years.
**North is defined as having worked in a geographical location at or above the 60th parallel North of latitude. In a Canadian context this would include, Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, parts of Quebec and Newfoundland and Labrador.

- Knowledge of relevant acts and regulations regarding the design, construction and operation of infrastructure.

The following criteria are not required for appointment but preference may be given to candidates who possess these qualifications.

EDUCATION:
- Eligible for registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer in Canada with specialization in an engineering specialty relevant to the position.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in consulting engineering or in the construction sector.
- Experience in water/wastewater treatment, water supply, wastewater collection and water distribution systems.
- Experience working with First Nations and various levels of government and/or multiple stakeholders.
