Duties

Under the supervision of the Transportation Security manager, your mandate will consist of enforcing legislation and regulations regarding air and rail transport safety. You will interact with various industry stakeholders on a daily basis, facilitate voluntary conformity and effect enforcement measures when appropriate. You will conduct operational and administrative investigations, work as a team to solve complex problems, participate in administrative investigations and will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of special projects.

Conditions of employment

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
• Secret security clearance.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Required to pass a pre-employment Category III Medical for Transportation Security Inspectors as well as Category II medical every 5 years.
• The incumbent will be required to travel on short notice for extended periods regionally, nationally and internationally using all modes of transportation.
• The incumbent will be required to work overtime and irregular hours as assigned – including on short notice.
