PSPC's Environmental Services are called upon to use their expertise in the service of the department as well as other federal agencies and departments for the achievement of various environmental mandates.
For example :
• Lead various projects, studies, research and analyzes in the environment;
• Propose measures to promote compliance with environmental standards and regulations, the achievement of departmental and federal government objectives in order to ensure the compliance and sustainability of the real estate portfolio of PSPC National Capital Region;
• Provide advice on the impact that proposed projects, activities and decisions may have on the environment, and recommend appropriate measures;
• Interact with numerous clients, partner organizations, representatives of regulatory bodies and internal and external professional groups in order to provide various environmental advice;
• Sits on national committees and acts as an expert in a cutting-edge area of the environment to advise the ministry and clients.

The intent of this process is to establish a pool of partially qualified candidates that will be used to staff identical or similar positions within Public Services and Procurement Canada with various linguistic profiles, various security profiles, various tenure or various locations across Canada.
Current need: Two (2) indeterminate (permanent) positions (Bilingual) in Ottawa, Ontario or Gatineau, Québec*.
*Work is currently being done from home until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On a case-by-case basis, a telework arrangement could be considered from any location in Canada.

EDUCATION
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, with acceptable specialization in physics, geology, chemistry or some other science relevant to the position.
EXPERIENCE
EX1. Significant experience* in program or project management as a project leader or project manager in a field related to real property.
EX2. *Significant experience in leading the development or implementation of environmental regulations, departmental policies, or other environmental management practices to projects or programs related to real property.
EX3. Significant* experience in providing advice and guidance to management**.
Note:
*Significant experience is defined as one where the person’s primary responsibilities include these duties. It also refers to the depth and breadth of the experience associated with having performed a broad range of complex related activities over a period of approximately three (3) years.
**Management is defined as manager level or higher.
