Duties

Student will be responsible for the assigned project including animal care, responsibility for own samples, molecular lab work, and bioinformatics.

Work environment

The selected candidate will carry out research work in the microbiology and gut health of dairy cattle. The experimental work and laboratory analyzes will be carried out in the facilities of the Sherbrooke research and development center.

Education:
Currently enrolled or enrolled no later than the appointment start date in a Master’s program in a recognized post-secondary academic institution with a specialization in Animal Science or Microbiology.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
Experience* in handling cattle.
Experience* in laboratory work related to molecular or microbiology.

*In the context of student recruitment in the Federal Public Service, the experience can be acquired through the studies, work experience, or volunteer activities.
