The duties associated with administrative support positions may vary from one work environment to another. In general, the position can be expected to provide administrative and other support services to the unit manager, such as: maintaining administrative tracking systems and procedures to projects assigned by unit manager/ provide and coordinate manual and electronic mail, correspondance and document management/ Prepare and organize staff meetings/ Apply various administrative, financial or humain ressources policies and procedures/ Ensure data entry into various informatic systems related to the position.
The scope of duties for Administrative Assistant in the Correctional Service Canada can take place in a variety of settings within the Correctionnal Service Canada (CSC). You may work in a federal penitentiary, a parole office, a community correctionnal center or in one of our regional offices. Teleworking may be accepted depending on the nature of the work related to the position. A pool of qualified candidates will be established to staff similar term positions for temporary operational needs within the Correctional Service Canada in Québec region.

Education:
A secondary school diploma or a satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma or successful completion of a provincially/territorially approved secondary school equivalency test, or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience:
Experience in the provision of general administrative support.
Experience in the use of various software programs such as: Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
Education:
Diploma of vocational studies in Secretarial Studies or Office automation
College degree in office administration.
Experience:
Experience working in specialized departments such as; healthcare, finance, Human Resources, case and/or program management, judicial or information/documentation management
Experience in creating/managing a diary or a follow up system
