As a Human Resources (HR) Assistant with Fisheries and Oceans Canada, you will work a in a fast-paced environment alongside other HR Business Professionals. You will be responsible for the coordination of a variety of staffing activities including, but not limited to, the development of job advertisements for internal and external processes, the coordination and scheduling of assessments such as exams and interviews, ongoing communication with candidates, development of employment offers and administrative management of staffing files.

At this time, there are no vacancies. We are creating a pool of fully (or partially) assessed candidates which we may use to staff vacancies, as they arise, within Fisheries and Oceans Canada in Dartmouth (Nova Scotia), Moncton (New Brunswick) and St. John’s (Newfoundland and Labrador). Most vacancies will initially be staffed on a temporary basis.

EXPERIENCE

► Experience working as an Human Resources Assistant with a focus in Staffing (recruitment) in one of the following: Federal Government, Provincial Government, Municipal Government, Indigenous Self-Government, or Non-Government Organization
This experience must include:
► Experience in drafting, formatting and reviewing documentation for completeness and accuracy
► Experience in creating and maintaining electronic files
► Experience scheduling the assessments of candidates, such as tests and interviews
Various language requirements
