Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to staff one (1) indeterminate vacancy in Kingston, Ontario. A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions on an indeterminate or term basis, including casual employment and with various security requirements.

EDUCATION:

- Successful completion of post-secondary education specializing in Environmental Technology.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

* RECENT is defined as within the last 3 years
** SIGNIFICANT is defined as 2 years of experience.

- Recent* and significant** experience working in the environmental field.

- Experience with environmental sampling.

- Experience using MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access and MS Outlook.

- Experience in sampling result analysis.

- Experience in preparing and delivering training and information briefings.

- Must be eligible for certification as an Applied Science Technologist or Certified Engineering Technologist with Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists.

- Experience in planning, developing and coordinating projects.

- Experience in the use of GIS programs and applications in the context of environmental projects and programs.

Conditions of employment

- Willingness to work in various climatic conditions.
- Willing and able obtain DND 404.
