Important messages

We are committed to providing an inclusive and barrier-free work environment, starting with the hiring process. If you need to be accommodated during any phase of the evaluation process, please use the Contact information below to request specialized accommodation. All information received in relation to accommodation will be kept confidential.

Assessment accommodation

Please take note that the Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) reserves the right to verify claims of Aboriginal affiliation. For appointment processes where the area of selection was limited to Aboriginal peoples or to members of designated employment equity groups that included Aboriginal peoples, the Aboriginal candidates proposed for appointment or appointed must complete and sign the Affirmation of Aboriginal Affiliation Form as a condition of appointment prior to or at the same time as the offer of appointment, even if they have already self-declared as an EE member when applying.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: It is the responsibility of the candidate to clearly outline that they meet each of the criteria in the QUESTIONNAIRE, which is provided during the application process. Please note that it is not sufficient to only state that the requirement is met or to provide a listing of past or current responsibilities. Rather the candidate must provide concrete and detailed examples that illustrate how they meet the requirement. Failure to do so could result in the application being rejected from the process. Your resume may be used to validate the information provided in the screening questions. The screening board cannot make any assumptions about your experience and will not contact candidates for additional or potentially missing information.

IMPORTANT MESSAGES REGARDING THE SCREENING QUESTIONS:

1. The purpose of these screening questions is to help you submit an application that is clear, complete and persuasive and demonstrates that you have all of the required essential education and experience qualifications and some or all of the asset education and experience qualifications.

2. The screening of candidates will be conducted only on the basis of these screening questions. The resume you have sent with your initial application will be used only if the Assessment Board considers it needs to validate the information provided in the screening questions.

3. Please DO NOT send a cover letter. These screening questions replace the cover letter. We will NOT review cover letters.

4. Each question is divided into two parts. The first part consists of a simple question requiring a YES or NO answer. If your answer is "yes", the second part will ask to fully demonstrate how you obtained this qualification by responding to some sub-questions.

5. Responses will not be considered satisfactory if you simply state that you have the required qualifications or provide a list of current or past responsibilities or paraphrase the qualifications.

6. It is in the candidates' best interest to demonstrate that they have as many of the asset qualifications as possible because these might be used to determine the "best fit" from among the qualified candidates.

Note: Your resume and responses to the online questionnaire may be used to assess the essential qualification "Ability to communicate effectively in writing."

Work environment

Employees are required to work at Six Nations where the position is located and not from another location.
