Assessment accommodation

LOCATION: This is an Ottawa-based position with the possibility that the successful candidate may be able to work remotely from one of the OSFI offices across Canada (Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver); the one closest to their place of residence. Working remotely will require travel to Ottawa.

Duties

Senior analytics and expertise regarding the development and evolution of assigned OSFI-wide corporate security plans and policy in areas which could include: personnel screening; physical security; security event management; contract security; business continuity management; crisis and emergency planning, information security (InfoSec) operations; and training and awareness.

Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one position with a language requirement of bilingual imperative BBB/BBB on an indeterminate basis.

This selection process may be used to establish a pool of qualified or partially qualified candidates, which could be used to staff similar or identical positions with various linguistic profiles and requirements, security profiles and various tenures.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
- Graduation with a diploma or degree from a post-secondary institution or an acceptable combination of education, relevant experience and/or training.

Degree equivalency

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
- Experience in developing corporate security plans, business continuity plans, emergency management or crisis response.
- Experience in developing and delivering security awareness presentations.
- Extensive* experience providing advice and recommendations to management on complex security or risk issues.

*Extensive refers to the depth and breadth of experience normally acquired through direct responsibility for a wide variety of complex files and/or projects.

ASSET CERTIFICATIONS
- A professional designation or certification relevant to the position to be staffed (such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Professional Certified Investigator (PCI), Physical Security Professional (PSP), etc.).

ASSET EXPERIENCE
- Experience with investigating security incidents as well as identifying and implementing associated corrective controls.
- Experience in conducting threat & risk assessments (TRAs).
- Recent* experience in developing and maintaining partnerships with internal or external agencies or clients in the areas of security or emergency management.

* Recent is defined as experience normally acquired within the last one (1) to two (2) years.

As a Separate Agency, the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) appoints employees in accordance with the Public Service Employment Act (PSEA). OSFI is named in Schedule V of the Financial Administration Act (FAA) and it offers the same pension and benefits plans as the core Federal Public Service. In addition to this, OSFI employees obtain a minimum of 4 weeks of vacation leave per year, earn a competitive salary, and are eligible for an annual performance bonus.
