Intent of the process

This process is anticipatory.

A fully or partially assessed pool may be created and may be used to staff similar positions with various linguistic requirements, tenures and security clearances within the Administrative Tribunals Support Service of Canada (ATSSC). All other federal organizations listed in Schedules I, IV and V of the Financial Administration Act (FAA) may use this selection process to appoint a candidate to a similar position within their organization.

A covering letter "A covering letter in 3,000 words (maximum). IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS TO FOLLOW: Candidates must submit a cover letter providing CONCRETE EXAMPLES WHICH ILLUSTRATE, how they meet the education requirement and the experience factors listed in the essential qualifications and asset qualifications. FOR EACH EXPERIENCE CRITERIA, please provide the following MANDATORY information: 1 - Name of the department or organization where the experience was acquired; 2 - Title and level of the position occupied and duration for which the candidate exercised its functions; 3 - Specific details of tasks, projects or accomplishments demonstrating how the experience was acquired. In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, with specialization in accounting, statistics, commerce, business, economics, international trade, or an acceptable combination of education and experience relevant to the position.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE

Experience in conducting economic or commercial research, analyses, studies or investigations.

Experience in the use of Excel.

Experience in tabulating and presenting statistics.

Courses in accounting or economics (microeconomics and macroeconomics) at the post-secondary level (university, college or CEGEP).

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE

Experience in designing surveys or questionnaires.

Experience in the use of Visual Basic.

Experience working within a quasi-judicial or judicial environment.

ORGANIZATIONAL NEEDS:

Further assessment may be conducted on the experience provided depending on the position to fill.

Please note that achieving a pass mark on any of the assessment used does not mean you will move forward in the selection process. Management may decide to use a cut-off mark that is higher than the pass mark on any evaluation used throughout the process.

For this selection process, our intention is to communicate with the candidates by email. Candidates who apply to this selection process must include in their application a valid email address and make sure that this address is functional at all times and accepts messages from unknown users (some email systems block these types of email).

Preference
