Detachment Services Assistant provides administrative and operational support services for police officers and other employees at a Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) detachment. This position also provides front counter and telephone assistance, services and information to the general public.
This process will be used to staff one (1) indeterminate position on a part-time basis at the Claresholm Detachment. A pool of qualified candidates will be created and may be used to fill future vacancies in the Southern Alberta District of the RCMP.

Successful completion of two years secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience*
* Proof of education will be required prior to appointment.
Experience in the provision of administrative support services including three of the following: data entry, preparing correspondence, ordering office supplies, filing and processing mail.
Experience in using computer applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, or databases.
Experience providing service to internal or external clients / general public, via telephone or in person.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
