Shared Services Canada is modernizing how the Government of Canada manages its information technology (IT) infrastructure. The Department is mandated to deliver email, data centre and telecommunication services, including videoconferencing and Wi-Fi, to partner organizations.

EDUCATION:
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience*.
*The acceptable combination is defined as a college diploma in marketing, graphic design, web design, public relations, advertising, communications, web/new media management, marketing research or journalism with 12 months of work experience and/or training in field relevant to the position.
EXPERIENCE:
ALL STREAMS
1. Significant* experience in coordinating and facilitating a variety of communications products such as, but not limited to: web content, news articles, posters, etc.
2. Significant* experience in the development and implementation of communications projects in collaboration with internal and/or external partners that have multiple deliverables.
3. Experience in working with and providing communications advice to clients.
STREAM 1 - Strategic communications
1. Experience in delivering presentations, information sessions or briefings to various stakeholders.
2. Experience in the development and implementation of strategic communications plans.
3. Experience in building and maintaining client relationships.
STREAM 2 - Design
1. Significant* experience creating designs using tools such as (but not limited to) Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, Premiere, AfterEffects) and the Microsoft Office suite of products.
2. Significant* experience in providing advice and guidance on the development and delivery of visual design concepts and creations for at least three (3) of the following: digital publications, infographics, videos, motion graphics, multimedia presentations and/or web sites.
STREAM 3 - Web
1. Experience in providing strategic web communications advice and guidance to colleagues and clients.
2. Experience in making recommendations and coordinating the implementation of site improvements based data analysis and best practices.
3. Experience in managing micro projects and web-development activities following policies and guidelines.

*Significant experience is understood to mean the depth and breadth of the experience normally acquired over a period of at least two (2) years.
