Duties

If you’re looking to get your foot in the door with the Federal Government and to start a meaningful career, ISC is looking for you!

We are looking to staff various entry level positions however, we believe the duties these employees perform are more than routine administrative requirements. The employees in these positions preform critical functions and their contribution to team success is the backbone of organizational effectiveness.

Intent of the process

ISC supports various initiatives to recruit, retain and promote Indigenous employees.
This is a continuous intake inventory to create and maintain an inventory for future opportunities for Aboriginal persons. Our organization is constantly growing and always looking for talented individuals to join our team. Our plan is to select submitted applications from the inventory on a as needed basis until the poster closes.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

A secondary school diploma OR An acceptable combination of education, training and experience*

*This combination will include your successful completion of secondary 4 or grade 11 in addition to two years cumulative experience providing clerical functions or customer service (this could include, but not limited to: data entry, filing, answering telephone calls, preparing written correspondence, providing assistance to customers, serving the public).

In addition, if you have training other than high school, this may also be considered for education.

Degree equivalency

Experience in providing clerical or administrative duties*

(Examples may include, but are not limited: providing information, assistance and advice over the phone, by email or in-person; scheduling and organizing meetings; preparing, recording or distributing meeting agenda, minutes and background materials; purchasing and maintaining an inventory of office furniture, supplies or equipment; working in a mailroom; working in a records area; maintaining files; making travel arrangements; processing travel claims; and paying invoices. These experiences may have been gained on the job, through school work or volunteer work.)

Experience in using Microsoft Office and other online or computerized systems and applications
