SSC’s Chief Information Office (CIO) focuses on the SSC’s departmental needs by providing desktop and workplace technology services, applications management, IM-IT executive support, information management and data services, as well as Accessibility services to SSC and government departments. We are responsible for establishing and delivering on the department’s digital strategy, while continuously improving the processes, products and digital services we offer.
While empowering the people of SSC with the corporate tools, solutions and technology required to enable enterprise service delivery to departments and Canadians, the CIO team provides individuals across the Government of Canada with Accessibility, Accommodations and Adaptive Computer Technology (AAACT) services.

EDUCATION:
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience relevant to the position to be staffed.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
EX1: Recent* experience providing clerical or administrative support services related to information and/or data management program or service.

EX2: Experience in monitoring the quality and/or accuracy of data and/or information.

EX3: Experience in conducting research, preparing preliminary analysis and summaries.

EX4: Recent* experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).

* Recent experience refers to experience acquired within the last two (2) years

EDUCATION:
ED1: Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in information Management (IM) or Records Management. Relevant programs of study include but are not limited to: Information and Records Management, Library Science and Archival Studies.

ED2: Successful completion of a degree or an applied degree in any field of study from a recognized post-secondary institution.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
EX1: Experience using Microsoft 365 (Teams, Channels and Planner).

EX2. Experience working with an information and/or data management system (such as an Enterprise Document Repository System) to conduct searches and retrieve data or information.

EX3. Experience working with analytics tools, such as Power BI, SAS VA, SAS Viya, and/or Thoughtspot.

EX4. Experience in participating on project teams and/or in working groups.

EX5. Experience supporting the dissemination and clarifying information and/or data management policies, standards, procedures and/or systems.

EX6. Experience coordinating litigation holds.

Reliability Status security clearance - Secret Security Clearance
You will need to pass a government security check which may include a criminal record check, fingerprint collection and credit check. Once you pass, you will be authorized to work with us!
