Intent of the process

A pool of qualified candidates may be established within Transport Canada and may be used to staff similar positions with various linguistic profiles.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education
ED: Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in an engineering specialty relevant to the duties of the position.

OR

Occupational Certification
OC: Eligibility for certification as a professional engineer in Canada with specialization in an engineering specialty relevant to the position.

Note 1: Candidates will be asked to provide proof of education or eligibility for certification.

Note 2: Candidates with foreign credentials must provide proof of Canadian equivalency. Degree equivalency

Experience
EX1: Significant* experience in the design, stress analysis methodologies, testing and certification of aeronautical products (Structures Specialty).
EX2: At least 2 years of practical engineering experience solving problems of increasing complexity in the design, stress analysis, testing and certification of mechanical systems.

*Significant: Candidate has performed related activities in a wide variety of situations for 7 or more years.

K1: Knowledge of Civil Aviation airworthiness requirements and their application to certification of aeronautical products.
K2: Knowledge of structural engineering technologies and methods applicable to Aircraft Structures.
