Essential Qualifications
Education
Graduation with a degree in engineering technology/technician with a specialization related to the fields of architecture, civil engineering, electrical engineering or mechanical engineering.
Experiences
*Depending on the position being staffed, any of the qualifications below may be deemed as an essential “must have” or an asset qualification “nice to have”.
EX1: *Recent experience in construction project management through all stages of project delivery
EX2: *Recent experience in managing multiple construction projects concurrently
EX3: *Recent experience in managing construction project financial resources
EX4: *Recent experience problem solving such as: problem definition, data collection, analysis and interpretation, as well as interpreting construction codes, regulations, standards and technical studies in formulating a solution
EX5: *Recent experience in developing/assessing designs and/or providing technical advice in an engineering specialty relevant to the position

*Recent is defined as experience obtained in the last five (5) years.

Education
AE1: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
AE2: Accredited as a Certified Engineering Technologist or Technician in Canada with specialization in an engineering specialty relevant to the position
Experience
AEX1: Experience in SAP PS (Project Systems) Module and the Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS)
AEX2: Experience working with the Department of National Defence
AEX3: Experience working in a real property environment
AEX4: Experience in any of the following specialized fields:
A. airfield pavements and facilities,
B. heavy industrial facilities,
C. high voltage power,
D. site utilities (water, storm and sanitary),
E. elevators, cranes or other lifting devices,
F. fire protection engineering,
G. security infrastructure such as intrusion alarms, access control and shielded enclosures,
H. building envelopes, and
I. heritage properties.
AEX5: Experience in the use of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Revit/BIM for design, details and drawings
Operational requirements
OR1: Be available to work overtime during the week and/or weekends, sometimes on short notice
OR2: Willingness to occasionally travel in Canada

Reliability Status security clearance
CoE1: Reliability and security: Must be able to obtain an enhanced reliability security clearance
CoE2: May be required to possess and maintain a valid, non-graduated, and unrestricted provincial or territorial Class 5 driver's license
CoE3: May be required to obtain and maintain a Departmental driver’s license (DND 404)
