Experience operating and maintaining common farm machinery such as tractors, plows and disc harrows, seeders and harvesters.
Experience in grain crop operations.
Pesticide Applicator Certificate – Agriculture designation.
Experience operating irrigation equipment such as pivots, linears, wheel moves, and irrigation pumps.

Valid driver’s license.
Ability and willingness to work overtime including evenings and weekends.
Ability and willingness to perform physically demanding work activities including moderate to heavy manual labour requiring bending and lifting heavy objects (up to 22 kg).
Ability and willingness to potentially work extended periods outdoors under various environmental conditions (dust, hot, cold, noise, insects) with limited exposure to farm chemicals.
Ability and willingness to obtain any further training or certificates that may be required for specific duties.
Under normal safety precautions, ability and willingness to work with hazardous materials.
Known allergies must be controlled through the use of personal protective equipment and/or medication and must not impinge upon the duties to be performed.

ASSESSMENT INFORMATION
You must meet all essential qualifications in order to be appointed to the position. Other qualifications may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed.
