Work environment

DND's role is to provide services and support to the Canadian Forces (CF) in their operations and missions at home and abroad. As a civilian employee, you will be an essential part of the Defence Team.

EX1 – Recent* experience providing food services in an institutional, commercial or industrial food service environment

*Recent is defined as experience normally acquired within approximately the last 2 years.

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance

COE1 – Must be willing and able to work shift work including evenings and weekends.
COE2 - Willing to work overtime
COE3 – Must be willing and able to wear and/or utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with safety regulations.
COE4 – Ability to lift and carry items up to 20kg in accordance with general safety practices.
COE5 – Access to reliable and dependable transportation to report to work.
