Work environment

This position is located in a law enforcement environment which includes regular contact with uniformed and armed police officers.

Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one permanent position on a part-time basis (18.75 hours per week).

A qualified group of candidates may be identified and may be used to staff future permanent or temporary vacancies (including term, acting, casual or assignment) in similar or lower-level positions (at full or part-time hours). Once established, the qualified pool will be valid for a period of one year and may be extended.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

EDUCATION:
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
1. Experience providing administrative support services in an office environment.
2. Experience using word processing software such as Microsoft Word
3. Experience using spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel.
4. Experience providing service to clients or the general public by telephone, in person or in writing.
