Education
E1: Graduation with a degree in mechanical, architectural, civil, or electrical engineering technology/technician, or some other engineering specialty relevant to the duties of the position
* A degree is defined as a diploma or higher level degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, as established by educational authorities
Experiences
EX1: Significant* and recent** experience in construction project management through all stages of project delivery
EX2: Significant* and recent** experience in managing multiple construction projects concurrently
EX3: Significant* and recent** experience in managing construction project financial resources
EX4: Significant* and recent** experience problem solving such as: problem definition, data collection, analysis and interpretation, as well as interpreting construction codes, regulations, standards and technical studies in formulating a solution
EX5: Significant* and recent** experience in developing/assessing designs and/or providing technical advice in an engineering specialty relevant to the position
Note :
*Significant is defined as experience associated with having performed a broad range of related activities on a regular basis, for the experience factor in question, which could normally be acquired over a period of approximately two (2) years.
**Recent is defined as experience obtained in the last five (5) years.

Education
AE1: Red seal certification in a relevant field
AE2: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
AE3: Accredited as a Certified Engineering Technologist or Technician in Canada with specialization in an engineering specialty relevant to the position
Experience
AEX1: Experience in SAP PS (Project Systems) Module and the Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS)
AEX2: Experience working with the Department of National Defence
AEX3: Experience working in a real property environment
AEX4: Experience in any of the following specialized fields:
A. airfield pavements and facilities,
B. marine structures and facilities,
C. heavy industrial facilities,
D. high voltage power,
E. site utilities (water, storm and sanitary),
F. elevators, cranes or other lifting devices,
G. fire protection engineering,
H. security infrastructure such as intrusion alarms, access control and shielded enclosures,
I. building envelopes, and
J. heritage properties.
AEX5: Experience in the use of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Revit/BIM for design, details and drawings
In support of Strong, Secure, Engaged (SSE) initiative #24, consideration may be given to the spouses or common-law partners of Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members.
Operational requirements
OR1: Be available to work overtime during the week and/or weekends, sometimes on short notice

CoE1: Security clearance: Secret
CoE2: Must possess and maintain a valid, non-graduated, and unrestricted provincial or territorial Class 5 driver's license
CoE3: Eligibility and willingness to obtain and maintain a Departmental driver’s license (DND 404)
CoE4: Must be able to wear personal protective
equipment (PPE)
CoE5: Must be able to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, scaffolding and work from heights
