EDUCATION
Graduation with a bachelor degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in an engineering specialty relevant to the duties of the position.
OR
OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION:
Eligibility for certification as a professional engineer in Canada with specialization in an engineering specialty relevant to the position.
EXPERIENCE
EX1: Significant* experience in design, development, testing or certification of aircraft electrical systems, and electromagnetic effects
EX2: Significant* experience in the application of Canadian and foreign civil design standards for Electrical systems
EX3: Experience in leading a team within a technical environment
*Significant: Candidate has performed complex activities related to this task in a wide variety of situations (at least 10 years of experience)
ASSET EXPERIENCE
AEX1: Technical management: Experience managing a team of aerospace engineers

K1: Knowledge of aeronautical products type certification, associated processes and regulatory material.
K2: Knowledge of aeronautical products design and type certification as it applies to the electrical specialty*.
*This includes engineering principles and practices in relation to aircraft design and certification for:
- electrical power generation and distribution systems
- electrical wiring interconnection systems (EWIS)
- electromagnetic interference/electromagnetic compatibility (EMI/EMC)
- high intensity radiated fields (HIRF)
- system safety assessment
