To staff vacant positions within the Voter Registration Services (VRS) division of the Electoral Data Services and Development Branch within Elections Canada. A pool of fully or partially qualified candidates may be established to staff similar positions within Elections Canada with various linguistic profiles and tenures (various specified periods or indeterminate).

EDUCATION
Graduation with a degree/diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution.
EXPERIENCE
Experience* in compiling and analyzing information.
Experience* in at least one of the following areas:
• using systems for the management of data of a large database (such as TOAD, Golden or SQL Developer) or writing structured query using SQL (Structured Query Language);
• updating records from a large database individually and/or by batch;
• writing and executing software test scripts;
• writing procedures and documenting technical systems and processes;
• using statistical software (such as SAS, Advanced MS Excel, Advanced MS Access)
Note:
* A minimum of 6 months experience is required
ASSET EDUCATION
• Post-secondary degree with an acceptable specialization in *social science or statistics.
• Post-secondary degree with an acceptable specialization in computer sciences in the field of programming and databases.
Note:
*Social science includes economics, political science, sociology, anthropology, history, psychology, geography, criminology and other disciplines associated with social science.
ASSET EXPERIENCE
• Experience in writing procedures and documenting technical systems and processes.
• Experience in verification and correction of personal and address data.
• Experience in testing software or systems.
• Experience in using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
• Experience using and programming SAS.
• Experience in programming SQL requests.
• Experience in using the geographic information system ArcGIS.
• Experience working in an electoral context.

Due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation, the selected candidate will work remotely from his/her residence location until further notice. When the decision is made for Elections Canada employees to return to the workplace, the successful candidate is expected to work at the traditional workplace located at 30, Victoria Street, in Gatineau with a combination of remote work all while ensuring a flexible work schedule.
