The intent of the process is to staff three (3) indeterminate positions.
A pool of fully or partially qualified candidates may be established to staff similar or identical positions within Elections Canada with various tenures (indeterminate, various specified periods) and various bilingual linguistic profiles (Bilingual imperative BBB/BBB, Unilingual English or French).

EDUCATION
Successful completion of two (2) years of a post-secondary school program with an acceptable specialization in social science*, statistics, library or archival work**, or a law-related field.
At the manager’s discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience that is comparable to the minimum education standard may serve as an alternative***.
Notes:
*Social science includes economics, political science, sociology, anthropology, history, psychology, geography, criminology and other disciplines associated with social science.
**Library or archival work includes gallery- and museum-type functions.
***An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience that is comparable to the minimum education standard is defined as follows:
• A secondary school diploma, and
• Significant experience, which refers to the depth and breadth of experience associated with having performed one or more of the following work activities during a period of at least three years:
- the conduct of surveys, studies and projects in the social sciences
- the identification, description and organization of archival, library, museum and gallery materials
- the editing of legislation or the provision of advice on legal problems in specific fields
- the application of practical knowledge of a specialized field such as geography, economics, history, law or psychology to the use and modification or adaptation of related computer systems, utilities or software
- the performance of activities directly related to the systems development life cycle, such as business analysis, requirements definition, application development or structured application testing.
EXPERIENCE
*Recent experience in using ArcGIS software.
Experience in compiling and analyzing information with a spatial reference.
*Recent experience is defined as experience that was acquired within a minimum of 6 months in the last 7 years. Note: experience gained in school is accepted.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
ASSET/EDUCATION
A degree from a recognized university with an acceptable specialization* in geography, geomatics, political science, law, public administration or information technology.
Successful completion of two (2) years of a post-secondary school program with specialization in geography, cartography or geomatics.
*The courses for the specialization do not necessarily have to be part of a degree program in that specialization.
ASSET EXPERIENCE**
Experience in testing software or systems.
Experience in using Microsoft Excel.
Experience in using a Database Management System.

Information on employment equity
Due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation, the selected candidate will work remotely from his/her residence location until further notice. When the decision is made for Elections Canada employees to return to the workplace, the successful candidate is expected to work at the traditional workplace located at 30, Victoria Street, in Gatineau with a combination of remote work all while ensuring a flexible work schedule.
