Duties

Our programs and services support the arts, culture, heritage, celebrations, sport, official languages, diversity and inclusion. We do this by providing funding to organizations working in these fields.

As a Senior Program Advisor, your duties may include:
☑️ Analyzing funding applications and making recommendations
☑️ Negotiating and managing funding agreements with clients
☑️ Gathering relevant information on trends and issues
☑️ Preparing correspondence, briefings and fact sheets for management
☑️ Participating in inter-departmental and inter-governmental working groups
☑️ Contributing to the development of program tools and processes
☑️ Conducting outreach activities to promote the department’s programs and priority initiatives
☑️ Mentoring and coaching junior employees

We may use this inventory to fill current and future vacancies.

1) We are considering a first wave of applications with the intention of staffing a number of positions by spring 2021.

Experience mentoring or coaching employees.

Experience in community development or outreach activities.

Experience analyzing demographic or statistical information.

Experience applying anti-oppression frameworks and principles.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Willingness and ability to work overtime occasionally with short notice.
Willingness to travel occasionally.
Willingness and ability to work from home as required.
