Intent of the process

A pool of candidates will be established through this process to staff anticipated vacancies, for identical or similar positions, at the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) through acting, assignment, deployment, secondment, indeterminate or specified period appointments.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:
Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution OR an acceptable combination of education, training and /or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
• Experience leading and fostering multi-disciplinary teams or committees and/or managing development initiatives, projects, programs or teams.
• Experience in preparing and delivering reports, presentations, submissions and making recommendations.
• Experience in providing advice to management, partners and clients relating to key policies and issues management.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

EDUCATION:
• Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Finance, Law or Public Administration.
• Master’s Degree from a recognized university with acceptable specialization in a relevant area of study.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in the management of human resources and/or financial resources;
• Experience in the formulation of strategies, policies and programs;
• Experience in the development, delivery or promotion of economic or business development programs, services or policies;
• Experience in working with SMEs, industry associations and/or communities to foster entrepreneurship, growth, export development, innovation, commercialization of research and development;
• Experience working with partners, i.e. other federal departments and agencies, other levels of government and a variety of stakeholders, including underrepresented groups;
• Experience in commercial lending or advanced collections practices;
• Experience in the development and/or implementation of organizational improvements.
