INSTRUCTIONS

• Provide concrete, specific examples of actions that speak directly to the experience sought.
• Choose examples with sufficient complexity, impact and degree of difficulty that will allow you to illustrate to what extent and depth you have shown the behaviours expected for each qualification.
• Focus on what you did. In referring to an experience achieved in the context of a team, set your role apart from the role(s) of others.
• Please describe the achievements in the past tense. This will help to ensure that you are providing concrete examples, rather than making general statements (e.g. instead of saying “I work well within a team….” you can say “I worked well with a team when….”).

Work environment

The SAP technical team at Fisheries and Oceans Canada is a new team within the Information Management & Technology Services (IM&TS) directorate that develops and maintains the S/4 HANA implementation for the department. The team works in collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer sector to provide leading edge tools for financial reporting. We are looking for curious and driven individuals who want to pursue their career working with SAP technologies or develop their existing experience.

Intent of the process

A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may be established from this selection process and may be used to staff similar positions with various tenures, various linguistic profiles as well as various security clearances within Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO).

EDUCATION:
Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

Notes:
1. Indeterminate period incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standards based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the CS group.
2. It is the recognized educational institution (e.g. community college, CÉGEP or university) that determines if the courses taken by a candidate correspond to two years of a post-secondary program at the institution.
3. At the manager's discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience may serve as an alternative to the minimum post-secondary education stated above. Whenever the minimum education is met using this alternative, it is met for the specific position only and must be re-assessed for other positions for which this alternative has been specified by the manager.

STREAM 2: Significant* experience in developing RESTful front end applications using JavaScript frameworks.
STREAM 3: Significant* experience in designing, configuring, and maintaining Roles & Authorizations for enterprise applications.

Experience with SAP Process Integration (PI) 7.4 or SAP Process Orchestration (PO) 7.5.
Experience in IT Security, including security documentation and GC security policies.

Experience with testing methodologies and best practices.
Experience in UNIX/Linux operating systems.
Experience with SAP Workflow or Flexible Workflow.
Experience using SAP HANA tools (HANA Studio, HANA cockpit, etc.).
