Intent of the process

A qualified group of candidates may be identified and may be used to staff future vacancies (including similar positions, on a temporary, acting or permanent basis, on a casual basis, at full or part time hours).

Once established, the qualified pool will be valid for a period of one year and may be extended.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

Education:

A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.

The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
• A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
• An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience is defined as:
Education: is defined as 2 years of secondary school.
Training: is defined as having Business administration, Project management training (i.e. PRINCE2, PMI), SAP certification and/or courses or providing adult education in formal classroom settings.
Experience: is defined as having 1 year experience working in a position, or using systems, similar to the one being staffed.

Degree equivalency

Experience:

1. Recent* experience in developing, delivering and evaluating adult training programs with a focus on computer based applications.

2. Experience in providing advice and guidance to clients

3. Significant** experience in data entry or reporting in at least three of the following modules and/or sub-modules of SAP:
Financial Accounting - General Ledger Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Travel Management, and Funds Management, Controlling - Cost Centre Accounting, Cost Element Accounting, Internal Orders, and Profit Centre Accounting, Plant Maintenance, Real Estate Management – General Contract, Project System, Human Resources – Personnel Management, Time management, and Organizational Management, Sales and Distribution, Materials Management – Purchasing, Inventory Management

*Recent: means experience associated with the performance of the duties within the last 48 months.
**Significant means experience normally associated with the full-time performance of related duties over a minimum of 3 years.
