Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Information regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Certificate or journeyperson status in one or more of the following areas: Industrial Mechanic (Millwright), 5th Class Power Engineer, Refrigeration Engineer or Refrigeration Mechanic, Electrical, Carpentry, Plumbing, or Pipefitting, or an acceptable combination of education/training and/or experience.

Experience in maintaining, repairing, and/or operating heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment.

Experience supervising.

Experience in the management practices for human, financial, and material resources.

Experience in the use of Microsoft office suite, such as Word and Excel.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Experience in project management.

Experience supervising large facility maintenance.

Possession of a valid Canadian Driver’s License equivalent to a Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver’s License.

Willing and able to work from elevating devices such as ladders, scaffolds and man lifts.

Willing and able to obtain Confined Space Certification.

Willing and able to obtain H2S Alive.

Willing and able to travel via commercial or government transportation services when required.

Willing and able to attend all training as required.

Willing and able to stand, climb, walk, lift (25kg), carry (25kg) bend, pull and push, reach and crouch in hot and cold environments for extended periods.

Willing and able to be available to be on standby, to work shift work and to work overtime on short notice.

Willing and able to work outside in variable weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.

Willing and able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), in accordance with safety rules.
