Assessment accommodation

Duties

Establishes, manages and delivers projects, ensuring that they meet cost, schedule, performance / technical and programmatic objectives; leads the matrixed-in project team and manages all resources; identifies and manages risks, develops contingency plans; recommends solutions to problems for approval by the supervisor; and provides project reports.

Initiates, negotiates, monitors and manages contracts with industrial contractors, in collaboration with Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC); recommends solutions to problems.

Controls the programmatic and technical interfaces between the client, project team, contractors, launch provider and other project partners, for assigned projects, or performs interface activities at program level.

Provides authoritative cost, schedule, performance / technical and programmatic advice on projects/program matters, including the feasibility and selection of future projects and/or programs.
May supervise one Project Engineer engaged in the performance of project management and/or integration activities.

• At least ten (10) years of experience within the last fifteen (15) years in evaluating, analyzing and solving engineering problems and in making recommendations.

• At least two (2) years of experience within the last ten (10) years in negotiating with various stakeholders.

• At least three (3) years of experience within the last ten (10) years in the management of engineering projects.
