Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one position on an indeterminate basis, with a linguistic profile of Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB and an RCMP Secret security clearance.

A pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions within the RCMP in the National Capital Region on an indeterminate or specified period (including term, acting, or assignment) basis, with various linguistic profiles and various RCMP security clearances.

Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics. Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience in curriculum design applying current instructional techniques and adult learning concepts
Experience in teaching on at least two (2) of the following topics related to Investigative Training: Strategic Intelligence Analysis, Tactical Intelligence Analysis
Recent* operational experience in the field of intelligence analysis
Experience in providing administrative services, including planning and coordinating tasks, activities, and projects
Experience in preparing/drafting, formatting, and verifying correspondence or reports
Experience in using a personal computer, to be functional in using Word, PowerPoint

*Recent is defined as two (2) years’ experience within the last five (5) years

Must work overtime as and when required and on short notice
