In Aquatic Ecosystems, we protect our oceans, freshwater and aquatic ecosystems and species from the negative impact of humans and invasive species through sound science and in collaboration with Indigenous communities.
This process will be used to create a fully or partially qualified pool which may be used to staff similar vacancies at this level within the Aquatic Ecosystems Branch.
**Important: Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, employees of Aquatic Ecosystems are currently working remotely. The department is actively working on a flexible, phased approach for the safe return of employees to their usual workspaces. EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization relevant to the qualifications of the position or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience gathering and analyzing information regarding complex issues, in the field of environmental or marine management, and providing advice and recommendations to management in support of decision-making.
Experience developing written materials such as reports, agreements, briefing notes, Memorandums of Understanding, etc.
Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment where parties are working toward a common goal (e.g. Indigenous groups, stakeholders, other levels of government, other branches within the same organization).
