For this selection process:

Immediate need: 1 full-time temporary position from December 2020 to May 2022 (sunset funding).
A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used for similar permanent and temporary employment.

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a natural, physical or applied science with specialization in a field relevant to the duties of the position.
Note: The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and must have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization.

Experience in the bioinformatic analysis of large data sets or in data science.
Experience working in a multidisciplinary team.
Experience developing a creative solution for bioinformatic analysis or data science.
Experience using Linux/Unix.
Experience in coding languages (Python, ”R”, Perl, Matlab or equivalent) commonly used for bioinformatic analyses or data science.
Graduation with a master’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in a field related to the duties of the position such as but not limited to Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Biological Sciences, Microbiology.

Experience working with ontologies and knowledge models.
Experience with programming using “Java” and databases (SQL).

ASSESSMENT INFORMATION
