Doctorate Student - Research Affiliate Program

The projected start date is between December 15, 2020 and January 1, 2021, with an end date of March 31, 2021 (possibility of an extension to March 31, 2024). It is expected that the student will work 30 hours per week.
$25.94 to $33.58 per hour (based on the level of study)

Duties

The student will carry out research related to the project. The student will review the literature on the project, collect and compile scientific data, synthesize and analyze the data, and write a doctoral thesis and / or scientific articles. The student can, on occasion, help the team if necessary.

Work environment

The student will have access to a desk and a computer as well as to the laboratory of the Center for Research and Development of Quebec. The student will also benefit from the technical support of a research professional.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Currently enrolled / or willing to enroll in a doctoral program at a post-secondary institution with a specialization in: agro-economics.

Degree equivalency

Experience in conducting literature review and in summarizing information under different formats (reports, article, or manuscript format).
Develop economic model and research methodologies. Experience in conducting statistical analyses of data from agriculture related-fields.
Experience in developing and working with an appropriate simulation model and analysis of economic data related to cropping systems, agricultural production, and land management practices.
