The successful applicant will perform clerical and administrative duties in support of research activities. Specific activities include manuscript and research proposal formatting and upload to internal and external online forms using web-based tools. Administrative support to program activities, including travel requests and booking arrangements, and expense management reporting on the Shared Travel Services portal. Monitoring and tracking of program budgets in relation to staffing and procurement, ensuring transactions are executed according to internal and external financial guidelines. The incumbent will also be required to organize meetings, produce corresponding support materials, and schedule/book meeting rooms, travel, conference calls as required by the scientist and technical staff.
Immediate need: 1 full-time temporary position from November 2020 to March 31, 2023 (sunset funding).
A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used for similar permanent and temporary employment.

Experience providing a range of administrative support services in an office environment.
Experience using common word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and e-mail software (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Experience writing, formatting or proofreading correspondence or reports.
Experience in data entry.
Successful completion of two years of post-secondary education from a recognized post-secondary institution.
Experience working with Sharepoint.
Experience procuring and purchasing goods and services through M/C, purchase orders and/or other procurement processes.
Experience working on Human Resource files such as staffing.
Experience organizing travel, conferences or meetings.
