Essential Qualifications
EDUCATION
Possession of a valid New Brunswick or Interprovincial Journeyperson Certificate in one or more of the following: Plumbing, Steamfitting/Pipefitting, Welding, Carpentry, Painting , Masonry, Electrical, Powerline Technician, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Millwright/Industrial Mechanic.
OR
***An applicable military QL5 qualification or higher.
*** NOTE: A military qualification of QL5 or higher will be accepted for the purpose of being eligible to be placed in a pool or inventory however the applicant will be required to obtain Journeyperson Certification as recognized by the Province of New Brunswick in the applicable trade prior to a term or indeterminate appointment.
EXPERIENCE
Recent experience, within the last three years in one or more of the following: installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining commercial and industrial systems and equipment.
ABILITIES/ SKILLS
Ability to communicate effectively in writing.

ASSET Qualifications
Experience
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications such as Outlook, Excel and Word.
Experience working with Emergency Standby Generating Systems
Experience working with Uninterruptible Power Supply units (UPS).
Experience in Locksmith.
Experience in Energy Management Control Systems.
Experience in Fire Alarm System.
Experience in Intrusion Alarm Systems.
Experience in Gas Detection Systems.
Experience in Airfield Lighting Systems.
In support of Strong, Secure, Engaged (SSE) initiative #24, consideration may be given to the spouses or common-law partners of Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members.

Conditions of Employment
Possession of a valid and unrestricted New Brunswick Driver’s Licence, as well as being able to obtain and maintain a DND 404 driving permit.
Must be able and willing to work at heights from ladders and scaffolding.
Must be able and willing to work overtime and standby rotation.
Must be able and willing to work in extreme weather conditions.
Must be able and willing to work in confined spaces
Must be able and willing to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Must be able and willing to lift up to 25 kg when required. (Candidates may be required to pass a physical test in relation to this condition.)
