Education:
Possession of a valid applicable Provincial or Interprovincial Journeyperson Certificate in a field related to the position (such as a carpenter OR electrician OR refrigeration technician with halocarbon environmental qualification OR painter OR plumber and gasfitter) OR a military DP-2 equivalent qualification for applicable trades related to the duties of the position to be staffed.
Degree equivalency
Experience:
*Extensive is defined as approximately three (3) years of experience
** Recent is defined as within the last five (5) years
E1 – Recent and extensive experience in the repair and maintenance of inside and outside copper, fiber and coax cable and communication infrastructure.
E2: Recent and extensive experience in the repair and maintenance of communication tower structures and antenna.
Experience:
AQ1 – Recent experience in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
AQ2 - Experience working in a military environment
Operational Requirements:
OR1 – Willingness to work overtime as required.
OR2 – Willingness to work weekend duty.
OR3 - Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions.
OR4 – Willingness to travel within the Area of Operations as required
OR5 – Willingness to work in confined spaces.

Conditions of Employment:
Depending on the position being staffed, one or more of the following may be required.
COE1 - Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain a secret security clearance
COE2 - Possession of an unrestricted driver’s license.
COE3 - Must be able to obtain and maintain a DND 404 driver’s permit.
COE4 – Must be willing to work at heights from ladders, scaffolding, climbing spurs, tower structures, scissor lifts and bucket trucks.
